A new kind painting for me - of Wheatfen, a beautiful nature reserve on the Norfolk broads, UK. It is very large (for me): 60x40 cm (24x16 in). Cryla and System 3 acrylics on canvas. all painted with a single painting knife. Although this painting is completely original, the style is inspired by Van Gogh's wheatfields. Photographed in strong sunlight to bring out the impasto texture.

Very nice. My favorite Van Gogh painting is "The Sower" and your painting has a lot of the same elements I like best.

Lovely!
I grew up in those reedbeds and you have captured the seemingly impenetrable density, and given the reeds the texture of the peat that they grow in.
