In searching through my garden shed this afternoon I found a tub of household acrylic paint had leaked onto the lid of another plastic tub lid. It had long since dried, leaving the most amazing brown acrylic skin, with flecks of white in it. I decided to cut it into squared with scissors and it was the inspiration for this painting, which obviously represents today, Good Friday.
The rest of this painting is Cryla acrylics on card, painted with pallet knives. Other than the skins, the only colours used are ultramarine, zinc white and lemon yellow. The acrylic skin mosaic is glued onto the painting with acrylic mediums. It is A4 size (12x8 inches).
This is another highly experimental piece, so please do let me know what you think!
